1: HELP - Fuel Pump HOLE for 4th Gens 93-02
There is no replacement for removing the fuel tank to thoroughly wash and clean it. Inspecting the inside can be difficult, but using a phone dongle camera extension can assist. Over time, with the variety of fuel qualities—some reliable, many questionable—fuel pumps tend to fail in nearly all vehicles.
The common issue at the time after budgeting for the cost of the pump and or sender unit.. is the labor to needed to remove the tank and rear suspension.. just to get to the top of the tank and do the 20 pump replacement itself.
