It requires a minimum of 15-inch rims, similar to the front setup. Typically a standard kit, it’s essential to specify the exact vehicle year for proper fitment. This non-staggered kit requires that both rear shocks be positioned behind the differential.

Tech Notes - READ

 

Installing this kit will extend your wheels outward by 0.125” on each side, so longer wheel studs may be necessary. Experienced professionals will recognize that the rotors and pads are GM replicas, widely available and accepted by registration authorities.

 Important: The parking brake cables included fit 1955-64 full-size Chevrolet models only. For other body styles such as coupes, wagons, convertibles, or sedans, modifications to the cables will be required. Additionally, the intermediate cable, center pull, and cable couplers may not be needed on 1958–64 vehicles.

 

  • Does not fit S-10 Chasis or truck frames
  • Maximum diameter of 6.11" to fit rotor hat.
  • Rotor Center = 2 3/4" - Rotor Hat Section Inside Diameter = 6 3/16" You will need to modify your axles if they will not fit inside the rotor
    hat and you will need to modify the rotor if the center hole is too small for your axles.
  • .050x45 Degree Chamfer
  • 2.786" max register axle
  • Does not Fit 14" Rims Must use 15" or larger
  • When installing rear disc brake kit a disc/disc proportioning valve with a 1-1/8" bore master cylinder will be needed.

 

This kit includes two rear brake cables specifically for the 1955-64 full-size series, completing the handbrake linkage. For other vehicle bodies, you will need to fabricate or modify cables to fit your specific upgrade. Installation is straightforward and mostly bolt-on, but ensure your hydraulic components are compatible, ie: don't use a HK Holden master cylinder upfront, thinking these are the same. Like the front brakes, a minimum of 15-inch rims is required for proper fitment.
