It’s important to ensure that replacement shoes are installed on brake drums that still meet the original factory specifications, maintaining the correct arch for optimal friction. Alternatively, if your drums are being machined, consider having your original shoes rebonded to an oversize dimension and then radius ground to perfectly match your drums, maximizing the friction surface and braking performance.
