This is the screw in fine AF thread pivot ball on the manual trans clutch fork assembly.
Used on a wide range of GM V8 Manual bell housings.
Note that the 3rd gen 82-92 Series also used a similar but different Pivot ball with a metric thread although rarer then the AF thread....
