This is a GM original USA rebuilt distributor designed for V8 models from 1987 to 1992 Firebird, Camaro, or Trans Am with a remote coil setup. If your coil is mounted on top of the distributor cap, this unit will not be suitable as a replacement.

This distributor fits 1987-91 Corvette, 1987-92 Firebird, and 1987-92 Camaro models. It includes a new cap and rotor, and shipping within Australia is free when purchased and paid for online.

HELP: IF your car is suffering from some type of "mystery rough idle".. and after checking the normal plugs, leads, etc.. have a think HARD about the dissy..

  • These are a model series that is prone to dissy corrosion around the base place & pickup coil which is the round thing on the bottom of the distributor plate.. encased in a metal cage.
  • This is a common sorta problem - you may never need the help, but if your car is... the later 87-92 series and it's suffering from a seemingly untraceable miss.. this is most likely it.. its the pickup coil in the base of the dissy and its rusted and corroded to buggery.
  • ..if so.. simply way is to just get another dissy.
