This new copper heater core is designed for second-generation Camaro and Firebird Trans Am models equipped with factory air conditioning or originally fitted with AC.

Note: Multiple quality levels of this heater core are available on the US market. The most expensive option is the traditional copper type, but you can choose between copper or alloy versions, both offering reliable performance with minimal issues.

THERE IS ALLOY made that are just as good...if wanted & cost about 25% LESS.

  The image shown is accurate. Typically, this heater core remains unchanged during right-hand drive conversions. If any modification is necessary, it usually involves only a slight bend in the hose outlet, which often does not need to be redone.

When bending the heater core, take great care to avoid cracking the solder joints, as it is not arc welded. Although repairs can be made if damage occurs, the process is challenging and best avoided to prevent having to repeat the work.

    Handle this heater core with extreme care — avoid any rough treatment, as it is prone to solder cracks and leaks. It’s advisable to test it by running water through before installation to ensure there are no leaks.

  Since around 2019, heater cores have been transitioning to alloy construction; however, this particular model is specifically made of copper.
