Starter:  Starter motors vary depending on the application and year model .. this GM packaged Service replacement is specifically for the the later '85 through to '92 era TPI & TBI motors.. see the image & listing below...... has a smaller head then commonly seen with short and long bolt mount. Look at the starter motor.. this is THIS specific unit. No exchange needed.  DELIVERY.. Due to dead weight. delivery is additional cost on starters..

Solenoid Length is 3 inches (75 mm). Measure the Solenoid for a better chance of getting it right.  Note.. Some V8 starters may also need shims.. check alignment of your flex plate as these have instances of snaping heads & chewing out flex plate teeth if not properly aligned. The manufacturers don't say this as its left to the fitter to know. .but just how many shims and thickness will depend on the accuracy of the fitter & their experience.
