Water pump: Pontiac 69-81 V8 - 11 Bolt - Cast Impeller - NEW

This is a brand new 11-bolt water pump designed for Pontiac V8 engines from 1969 to 1981, including models such as the 301 and the 301 Turbo Trans Am. It features a durable cast impeller, ensuring reliable performance for your classic Pontiac engine.

Pontiac V8 engines from 1969 to 1981 feature a "water pump plate" located behind the impeller, which directs water flow into the timing cover housing’s two pipes and pressurizes it into the engine block. It’s essential that this plate remains in excellent condition and positioned extremely  close to the impeller. If the plate shows signs of rust, do not proceed with installation; instead, replace it with an AUS921 water pump plate to ensure proper function.

69 Owners: Suits 1969 & up.. note the 69's often.. used a 4 inch shaft on the pump.. these are 4.5".. they fit if you have a 69  four inch shaft.. but you will need to get a deeper pulley IF you have a 69's V8.

NO KNOWN OR HISTORIC ISSUES WITH THE QUALITY. Manufacturers regularly change production sources but may be made in China, Turkey, Mexico & other places... even USA...!

Note: Every belt driven water pump has a weep hole that might leak a little in the beginning. Some seepage from the weep hole is normal during the break-in period (about 10 minutes), and does not indicate a defect.
