Water Pump: Pontiac V8 1969 (short) - NEW
This water pump is designed exclusively for Pontiac V8 engines from the 1969 model year ONLY.. ONLY. It fits most, though not all, GTO, Firebird, select Grand Prix models, and full-size PMD V8 engines.

It's 11 Bolt.. like the WP's on 69-81 Pontiac engine V8's were.. but its shaft is 4 inches.. or 10cm.. for this one year only.
Many vehicles with a history have may have had their water pumps replaced with the later 4.5-inch (10.5 cm) shaft version, which easier to source.
It’s often more NOW to keep the 4 inch if that is what you have.. rather than modifying all the pulleys (if you can find them). This note simply confirms that supply is available of the 4 inch (101mm) main shaft Pontiac Water Pump.
If you have a 69 or 69 engine.. see what you need.. measure the front face of the PUMP SHAFT to the back of the pump.. it will be either 4 inch or 4.5"...
For the use of this original 1969 pump.. it needs to have a 4" 10cm shaft.. not 4.5"
