AC Compressor: 86 Camaro & Firebird TA
Reviews

This is for you to select a Air Conditioning Compressor for your

1986 build Camaro, Firebird & Trans Am..

.....all engines....... there are three different types depending on your cars spec's.. we'll do any of the Brand NEW at the same price or the Re-manufactured ones AT THEIR cheaper SAME PRICE... at the same cost.. just to keep things simple.

Be careful of "no-name" rebuilt or reconditioned compressors... Steer clear of them & for your own sake.. buy one were-ever you want.. but read this lecture below....:-).

Service Tip: Once filled with oil, place or hold the new A/C Compressor with the front seal facing down for 1-3 minutes. This will help coat the seal with oil - if this seal is not lubricated before installation, refrigerant may leak.

  • A GM FACTORY BRAND NEW COMPRESSOR or a used reco unit...... FOR THIS YEAR MODEL .....

Choose the important information from the drop down menu as you order.. you need to know the 8th digit of your VIN #..

Delivery is additional - we can figure that when it's known where to go, speed needed and if to a daytime commercial business premises or private.

    • Nag session on AC Compressor Supply & Warranty Information..... click below to open  the link page.. please Read it...

Link to READ.. read this first before buying..

    • COMPRESSORS are the # 1 Claim we have. .. we HATE supplying them.. .and its due to ALL THE OTHER fault issues that can arise like hi and low pressure switchs on working.. = blown compressor..   Gas irregular.. = Blown compressor.. Wrong or Low oil..= Blown Compressor.. .. Crap in the System = Blown Compressor..  Novice fits the new compressor up .. puts belt on. runds dry.. BLOWN COMPRESSOR..

Don't buy it. if you don't know or intend to do it right.

  • These are brand new parts.. so if you import one yourself.. and your installer claims its faulty.. remember it will only be a short time from install to the Bearing seizing  and your need for another..due to failing sensors, bad flushing, wrong oil or incorrect amount of oil, and a range of other contributing factors to the "compressor failed".. ..so do look VERY hard at the installer before handing over the job.. its a specialised job.
