Reviews

With the discontinuation of the original wheel arch molds for 1967-68 or 69 models during the last decade, reproductions have come about, first in around 2005 which not good..then a retool and new metal version came out late 2008 which have been improved out of sight..but if  you sight a new GM one and a new version reproduction side by side.. and go over them, weight them, squeeze them  - you will find a difference. The PHYSICAL stamping is pretty much spot on.

BUT:..... . be careful of mixing & matching originals with repro's on concourse restoration cars .. as even from a metre away .. you can tell the difference.... you can notice a difference in the  metal slightly... otherwise they are fine..

They would rate a 8.5 out of 10 in comparison to Originals, mind you originals in the end were not always great either....

Q: Would we put them on our own restorations...??.a very good street driving show car...???  YES.. we would and we DO.

Would we put them on a US$200,000 concourse NOS restoration trailer show car .. NO but probably most people would not know....

Being in this specialised parts supply business for over 3 decades..I can 100% say.. that GM's wheel arch molds were never ALWAYS perfect either... but were a little harder  metal then these.. mind you the cost has to be considered also.....which if found can be 3-5 times the price listed here.. IN THE  USA for a genuine set of 4 older stock ones.
