1: HELP - Pitman Arms for 67-9 F bodies (many used)
Reviews

Something boring for many.. but not maybe for 67-9 Firebird & really Camaro owners. This is a simple image I did up of all the known Steering PITMAN arms.. as there are mutliples on each year Camaro or Firebird generally..that were used.. .. not all three years.. or things that might fit..or found on a LH V's RH drive cars.. but on just two types. or three but in this one years case....1968 Pontiac Firebird ALONE. ... six were used...SIX..!
And this does not take into account any RHD altered converted pitman arms of Holdens, Fords or (yes..) Toyota Cresida's of the day.
The question comes up when an owner/repairer rings and says the Pitman they got someplace is wrong... "It said 68 Firebird".. grumble grumble grumble.." ....on ebay or someplace. But it's not explained to look at your car first.
MAYBE .. the cars had alterations.. life it had.. as a 6 cylinder manual.. now a V8 Auto , somebody added Power Steering .. has something that is different.. who knows but it happens.
SO to help .. here is the SIX different pitman arms used on this ONE year alone.
Spline size for the Manual steering box is 26mm, for the power is larger at 30mm. (both Approx)
