These are USA remanufactured Power steering pump assemblies EXACTLY as shown.
NOTE: Some engines used a UPSIDE DOWN Lollipop shaped housing as shown below...... with the SAME PS pump... or this one.. with the Tear Drop shape.. This is for the one shown.. High Pressure at 7 o'clock.. Low Pressure at 6 o'clock pipe Down as shown.
DONT EVEN THINK.. of swapping a pump over.. without fully 199% +++.. flushing your lines and power steering box.. not thru your new pump.. whats the point. Make sure your lines are not full of scale & sludge crapp inside.. before you fit this..... . otherwise you'll likely stuff it real fast etc.. where sentiment and old hose particals have ruined your NEW pump .. again.. just like the last one was ruined.....
Although they may fit other GM US Vehicles... Current data shows this to fit the 68 Camaro only.. all the v8 series.
These are supplied outright..no exchange needed.
Steering System fluid must be flushed & replaced with the OE recommended fluid. It's advised that Power Steering hoses be replaced on vehicles over 5 years old or high mileage vehicles. An inline filter is also recommended for additional product life. - To insure proper performance of the Steering System.
NOTE.. .it may look like this.. its the same pump.. different housing.. same downward return fluid pipe pointing down to 6 oclock. SO.. the pump you get may be EITHER shapes. There is no difference to the pump itself or fitment.
Remanufactured Power Steering pumps carry a Three Month FROM SUPPLY Warranty only..normally no issue..but thats the warranty rule provided by the Manufacturer which we stand by, Warranty provides ONLY for a replacement unit.. not a credit or refund, this helps prevent the occassional switching of internals and false claims made .. which happens unfortunately.
