AC Compressor: 88-89 Firebird/Camaro 350 V8 (NEW - GM)
Reviews

This is a BRAND NEW GM Correct Compressor used a bit on 1988 & 89 Camaro & Firebird Trans Am & Some Corvettes.. mainly 350's..... its NOT the main unit used but is .. used.

It's a brand New GM original Compressor.... They come lubricated but NOT oiled.. do not operate without oil and correctly gassed.

  •  Delivery is additional - we can figure that when it's known where to go, speed needed and if to a daytime commercial business premises or private.

Service Tip: Once filled with oil, place or hold the new A/C Compressor with the front seal facing down for 1-3 minutes. This will help coat the seal with oil - if this seal is not lubricated before installation, refrigerant may leak.

Nag Session on AC Compressor Supply  Information..... open a separate window and copy the link in below. and print it....Read it...

COMPRESSORS are the # 1 Claim we have. .. we HATE supplying them.. .and its due to ALL THE OTHER fault issues that can arise like hi and low pressure switches not working = blown compressor..   Gas irregular = Blown compressor.. Wrong or Low oil= Blown Compressor.. .. Crap in the System = Blown Compressor..  Novice's fit the new compressor up .. puts belt on. runs dry = BLOWN COMPRESSOR..

Results... we get a call to say "that new compressor is faulty".. well . .it is now..!

Don't buy it or buy it someplace else...... if you don't know or intend to do it right.

Always check oil levels & lublication before starting - never run unless 100% perfectly gassed and cross checked by a LICENSED AC SPECIALIST..too many people short cut the install and go back claiming faults.

  • COMPRESSORS are the # 1 Claim we have had over the years....till about 2020..when the causes of people wrecking brand new compressors was sorted... it comes down to NOT cutting corners... no matter WHERE you buy the part/s. ...and its due to ALL THE avoidable fault issues that can arise that inexperience does not know to really look for..

Link to this CLICK THIS .. .. you MUST READ IT &  know it ... or don't waste your money buying a new compressor...:  GO TO A LICENSED AC SPECIALIST.

NO WARRANTY if not installed by Licensed AC Specialist.....

These are brand new parts.. so if you import one yourself.. and your installer claims its faulty.. remember it will only be a short time from install to the Bearing seizing  and your need for another..due to failing sensors, bad flushing, wrong oil or incorrect amount of oil, and a range of other contributing factors to the "compressor failed".. ..so do look VERY hard at the installer before handing over the job.. it's a specialised job.
