AC Compressor: 85 V8 Manual Camaro & Firebird "H" code - V Belt has been added to your Cart
AC Compressor: 82-86 GM V8 Camaro & Firebird
Reviews

GM brought out a series of  Air Conditioning Compressors for the Carby & tuned Port Injected version in 1982 - 86.. all look similiar.. all were  "V" belts driven for the point of what we are looking at right now.

------------------------------------------

Service Tip: Once filled with oil, place or hold the new A/C Compressor with the front seal facing down for 1-3 minutes. This will help coat the seal with oil - if this seal is not lubricated before installation, refrigerant may leak.

The Key here is to identify the CLUTCH width.. it is 5 inch. (12.7cm)

  •     THIS UNIT IS THE 5" (12.7cm) width Clutch.. measure it.. don't guess..
  •     This unit was mainly.. (but not 100% always) used on Automatic vehicles.
  •     This unit was for cars normally with the engine code of "G" as the 8th letter of the Vin Code. ...

Delivery is additional - we can figure that when it's known where to go and if to a commercial business or private.

SO.. if you have a  Automatic 1982-86 Camaro or Firebird Carby V8 with "G"  as the 8th letter & the Clutch width is 5" - then this is or should be your GM brand new compressor..

OR 8th letter "F" (TPI)  or H engine Carby versions..

May also have the number  "120850815" on a factory sticker on your.

     Brand NEW GM Compressor.

  • COMPRESSORS are the # 1 Claim we have. .. we HATE supplying them.. .and it's due to ALL THE OTHER fault issues that can arise that people cause warranty issues with due to simply not knowing..   AC is a VERY specialized trade.. be smart.. work with a Licensed pro... Issues that will lead to a NEW buggered compressor can be.. high and low pressure switches on working.. = blown compressor..   Gas irregular.. = Blown compressor.. Wrong or Low oil..= Blown Compressor.. .. Crap in the System = Blown Compressor..  Novice fits the new compressor up .. puts belt on.... runs dry no gas or oil..... BLOWN COMPRESSOR..

Don't buy it. if you don't know or intend to do it right.

Delivery is covered when paid on line for supply within Australia Except NT & Regional WA.
