Wheel Arch Molding Set: 67-69 Camaro - Firebird
Original wheel arch moldings for 1967-69 Camaro and Firebird models began to disappear by the late 1990s, prompting the creation of reproductions. The initial reproductions, introduced around 2005, were of lower quality. However, a redesigned version with superior metal was launched in late 2008, offering notable improvements and again at least once in the late 2019 ers. When placed side by side with a new GM original, these reproductions reveal differences in weight and feel, despite their highly accurate physical stamping..
BUT:..... . be careful of mixing & matching originals with repro's on concourse restoration cars .. if held up say 20cm from your face .. you can tell the difference.... one may also be old and had a life... but you can notice a difference in the metal slightly... otherwise they are fine..
They would rate a 8.5 out of 10 in comparison to Originals, mind you originals in the end were not always great either....
Q: Would we put them on our own restorations...??.a very good street driving show car...??? YES.. we would and we DO.
Would we put them on a US$200,000 concourse NOS restoration trailer show car .. NO- your better off to spend $3000 or so and try and get varified GM original NOS ones in perfect order still sealed in their GM sealed wrapping.... but probably most people would not know....
With over 30 years in the specialty parts industry, I can confidently say that GM’s original wheel arch moldings were not flawless either. They were made from slightly harder metal compared to these, but the price difference is significant. Genuine older stock sets in the USA can cost three to 10 times more than the price offered here depending on the year and model needed.

Delivery covered within Australia, except NT & regional WA.
