This is the correct 84-87 Corvette Accumulator or Filter / Dryer as it is often also know.

If your changing your compressor.. or changing gas.. change this also..
You will need to professionally change the full gas system... which keeps it legal - do NOT short cut the system or your compressor will fail within weeks, or just minutes and anything in between.
Don't waste your time doing a half job.
This is a correct service part for the year and model specified.
Picture is of the actual unit required by GM for the proper maintenance of the AC system the Corvette.
NOTE: At times if your Corvette is RH Drive.. converters may have .. often did.... use another type or design of Filter.. check this image well.. see the specs below.. so there is less chance of an order error etc..
