DON'T DO A HALF JOB ON AC SYSTEMS.. here's a very good link to what many have NEVER heard about.. but is a killer of brand new AC replacement systems.. and the real cause of compressor failure.. / Air conditioning Systems failure.
After reading this come back and watch this youtube help video.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opxyXWWGUGA
Reminder.. it must have the right oil in it, your needing a certified Licensed Automotive AC Tech to set this up .. to have tested accurately every other sensor/ cut off switch.. and stuff below.. don't waste your time doing a half job then ringing to say the compressors faulty, leaking out the front seal or seized up... after the half job stuffed it up .. !
This is NOT a check list.. but some background..
* You must have all the sensors checked prior to gassing up.. low and high..
* Must change the filter dryer.
* You must have the old Condensor replaced or 100% proven flushed. GM says most condensors are changed ever decade.
* You must make sure that NO conteminants are in the system when regassing, a pretty hard thing to 100% know.
* If any of these things happen.. you will blow up your new compressor rapidly.
AC systems were our # 1 attempted complaint as a failed product due these things not being done. Since we started nagging a lot its massively reduced.. DON"T RISK a new compressor.. they will fail.. as did your old one etc.. unless the system is changed by a known licensed experience AC specialist, there is no warranty..none. Don't risk it.. do it once properly.
The Compressor's work.. ill fitting and short cuts in service ..don't.
Thank you
