Heres something you don't see everyday anymore.. springs for the lower radiator hose to help stiffen it up and help keep the contour especially on tighter turns or RHD conversions.. and just hot hoses that might kink a little. Most cars and supply lines don't include them these days in a replacement hose but..this may help. etc.

Once upon a time.. most lower hoses had them or came new with them - they were .. legend has it. introduced by vehicle manufacturers when final water charging new engines/ radiators on the assembly line.
