1: Help - Fuel Tank packing example
Reviews

This is to help understand why the need to pack.. properly.. .. you'll seldom get this from non human general  type supply ..its to them cubics and if it get damaged so be it etc

In this instance a New Fuel Tank they might have a wrap of cardboard on the tank or just plastic to be shipped out globally etc. It might work on some std square block tanks..but those tanks with long fixed necks.. the chances of the neck being  bent or snapped..  the tank body dented in corners.. destroyed.. is TOO HIGH. etc..  which then leads to you looking for retribution and somebody to yell at and claim from.

That is easier IF your INSURED shipping was via ONE service like UPS or FEDEX..all the way to Door To Door (NO OTHER COURIERS INVOLVED to blame on) ..  and YOU HAD ADEQUATE PACKING as deemed by THEM after the event.. .. if not.. the shipper will pass the buck.

We may not be the only people who pack like this.. but we're just showing what MUST be done and how big the thing can become properly packed.  Inside this is an 82-92 Camaro Firebird fuel tank (LHS image).. with a big long side filler tube is constructed in a similar way to many other.. like various Chevelles/ GTO's etc and lots of others.   Some filler tubes angle & snake ...are easily 60cm long..(about 2 foot in the old language).

Protecting and shipping  a  tank.. so it does not get wrecked or the shipper can claim insufficient packing is vital.  Please help us to help you get a part  to you in good order -  if the shipping may seem high.. this sorta packing takes about 90 minutes to do + materials.. ie about $60 generally.. but gets the job done.
