Back in the 70's for a short time GM / Pontiac brought out a Rear Console for the 2nd gen Firebird & Trans Am's.. featuring the center divider filling assembly with the ashtray and side seat belt buckle housings... real nice part.. WHEN YOU COULD GET IT....

   Over the years these have been a prize find.. many selling up around US$1500 - US$2000 - not viable for many restorers.

    Can be used on Camaro as well from 70-81.. also the Pontiac's to 81, but were brought out for 70-77 Firebird TA's.

BOTTOM LINE.. WE HAVE DUG OUT THE ONE I Flew to Dallas Texas & back to Sydney on a 3 day trip to buy that at the US TA Nationals.. thats how hard perfect ones were to get. It was then used to help reproduce them.. which are now all gone.

It's been in storage & boxed & unboxed etc.. but overall it's in 9.5 point + condition.. not ripped or faded etc.  Long the bottom lip that is under & between the seats bottom edge a bit (see lower photo) of the factory vinyl which typically shrunk a little and wrinkly.. but that's not visible when installed.

Background...:    around 2012 - 2013 Pontiworld Australia started the reinvention of these under GM License at great expensive... We  reproduced carefully the armrest console, completely .. piece by piece, bracket by bracket.. . We noted the originals suffered from shrinkage of the covering around the ashtray and at the unseen lower sides.. so we improved 100% on that. The texture, the rivets, the housing .. the chrome on the ashtray lid.. all got special attention... as did the strength of the housing itself.

Colour Choice was always Black.
