This is not UNCOMMON.. but NOT common either.. and considering the amount of 62-66 Chev's BB & SB V8..... around with swapped engines.. you got to look first at the images.. note the pipe OUT TO THE LHS at the rear.. it points UP at around 11 o'clock.. NOT down under or to the side. This is important as the cast housings are at times different precast threads.. and the numbr of posts and positions of threads on the rear.

Standard .. make sure you FLUSH the entire hose and steering box system BEFORE connecting this pump up .. otherwise buy it someplace else as you will probably waste your time with years of sludge making its way into the new pre tested pump .. and wrecking it.
